I have been studying child development and clinical psychology since 2011...and long before that as a babysitter, since age 10. I have always been surrounded by children. My journey guided me towards becoming a licensed therapist, so that I could gain training and experience to support children and their parents in the deepest healing possible. My previous experience includes in-home, school based, and outpatient individual and family therapy for multiple community based agencies, as well as serving as the lead play therapist at the Denver Center for Play Therapy. During college, I also spent time as a pre-school teacher and mental health support at a psychiatric day program for adults, as well as serving as a research assistant at Harvard Medical School’s Laboratory for Youth Mental Health. I have formal clinical training in Synergetic Play Therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing). Currently, I run a private practice that specializes in supporting highly sensitive kids and their parents, as well as women ready to wake up the truth of who they are. I am also working towards a doctorate in depth psychology. I plan to write a dissertation on the soul connection between children and their parents. My greatest learning, however, lies in my personal story of healing and growth into the person I am today.
As a child, my sensitivities created a lot of stress and worry in my system... that eventually led me to protect myself by disconnecting from my body. I leaned into competitive running and a significant eating disorder to disassociate from a world that felt too overwhelming. My beautiful healing journey has put my soul back in body...and from here I have developed a deep love for myself that I get to also share with others.
